Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal
It is used in medicine to adsorb tannins, chromogens, and pigments. Applying the concept to teeth works for extrinsic stain removal. Activated charcoal is made by burning charcoal-rich materials, such as wood, and coconut shells, at very high temperatures. The resulting product is a black, odorless powder. The charcoal is then activated through a unique oxidation process that creates porosities on the charcoal particles to increase surface area and available binding sites. For extrinsic tooth surface stain removal, charcoal adsorbs a wide range of impurities and contaminants, including pigments. As a result, it will adsorb tannins and phenols. The charcoal should be allowed to sit for a few minutes. (longer the contact time = better the results). Even if ingested, the activated charcoal will be expelled along with tannins from the body. Increased use of activated charcoal over an extended period can lead to brilliant whitening effects.  We recommend no longer than a 14-day period.  Followed by when needed touch up that could consist of 3-7 days of usage of the product.

Dental Grade 10% Nano- Hydroxyapatite
Helps with caries prevention, repair of micro-lesions (small cavities), pearlescent (restore dull teeth to shinny youthful white,) and tooth sensitivity protection. It can help remineralize and restore enamel. The majority of the enamel and dentin in your teeth is made from a form of hydroxyapatite. The Open Dentistry Journal notes that tooth enamel consists of about 97 percent hydroxyapatite, 1.5 percent water, and 1.5 percent collagen and other proteins. The presence of hydroxyapatite in your tooth enamel is what makes it the hardest substance in your body.


Theobromine
Is the principal alkaloid (1.5–3%) of the cacao bean (Theobroma cacao.) It is extracted from the husks of cacao beans.  In the presence of calcium and phosphate, forms hydroxyapatite crystallites of an increased size that strengthen the enamel.  Which makes it less susceptible to acid attack.  Studies also indicate cocoa bean husk is effective in reducing mutant streptococci that cause
cavities.

Prebiotic: Inulin
A prebiotic creates a significant reduction in the proportions of tongue bacteria associated with oral malodor, therefore helping to create fresh breath.  Studies have shown the capability to neutralize pH (cavity prevention), decrease inflammation, disrupt biofilm (dental plaque), and balance the microbiota, creating a balanced oral eco-system.

Organic MCT Coconut Oil
Can help to bind to the biofilm, or plaque, on the teeth and reduces bacteria in the mouth. It is thought that the breaking down of the fatty coconut oil by the saliva's enzymes turns it into acids, which are toxic to certain bacteria. The enzyme-modified coconut oil strongly inhibits the growth of most strains of Streptococcus bacteria, including symptoms of Streptococcus mutans, an acid-producing bacterium that is a major cause of tooth decay.

MSM
(Methylsulfonylmethane is a sulfur compound naturally found in some plants and (in small quantities) in numerous foods and drinks. Its biologically active sulfur is anti-inflammatory, and aids in whitening and pain-relieving.

Organic Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda)
